Get Creative With Other Artist And Performers At "Hack The Barbican" This Month

Head down to the Barbican this August and you will be in for a treat, courtesy of Hack The Barbican. For the entire month various artists and performers will be taking over the venue's foyer spaces offering visitors the chance to explore interactive installations, workshops, multi-disciplinary art and art-related talks. There will also be access to free internet and desk space and restricted access to solder work stations.

TSGBarb Events have been organised without the conventional methods of central curation or commissioning. Inspired by hacker culture, a diverse range of people have developed and financed their work over a 6 month period. It will be interesting to see what new realms of creativity can be reached without huge budgets or restrictive criteria. The ethos of Hack The Barbican is all about resourceful approaches to making art within an inclusive, collaborative environment. Hack The Barbican will be on until the end of the month, each week will feature different installations (100 in total) and it's free!
