OLD: Kanye West - "Through the Wire"

Kanye West TheStreetGypsies "Through the Wire" released in 2003 as the lead single from Kanye West  The College Dropout album. The song samples Chaka Khan's 1985 single "Through the Fire." This single introduced Kanye to the commercial world but Mr West has been working with some heavy hitters as a producer years prior to its release.

Kanye West has had a tremulous career when it comes to speaking his mind but one thing has always been consistent and that's his music! I have not heard a single song from Kanye that I've hated, say what you want about the man but he is doing what he was put here to do and that is to create.

Fact: After a car accident in October 2002, West wrote and recorded "Through the Wire" with his jaw wired shut.
