FASHION NEWS: Fashion House Dunhill Has Appoints New CEO, Fabrizio Cardinali
Fabrizio Cardinali has now been appointed the position of CEO of Dunhill, he was formerly CEO at Lancel until he left the brand last October. Cardinali who has previously held positions at Dolce & Gabbana and Diesel, will commence his new role starting June 1st. Lancel's chief operating officer, Gianni Serrazi, will act as CEO until a permanent replacement for Cardinali is named. History Lesson: The business was developed by Alfred Dunhill after he inherited his father's saddlery business on London's Euston Road. Alfred Dunhill, responding to the growing demand for automobiles, developed a line of accessories called "Dunhill's Motorities". This first collection included car horns and lamps, leather overcoats, goggles, picnic sets and timepieces. Alfred Dunhill pitched the company under the slogan “Everything But The Motor”.
