INTRODUCING FASHION
Having worked as a Graphic Designer for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and designed t-shirts for fashion heavy weights ASOS and Topshop, Kieron Rhys Johnson decided it was time go it alone. Bold and Brave has all the makings of a staple Brit Brand. Having graduated from Kent Institute of Art and Design as well as Brighton University, Johnson screen-prints all the t-shirts himself.
This debut mixes influences of sports and classic design. Johnson, like many of us was on a high from London 2012 and the epic event is a running theme. The designs are etchings and hand drawn. Being self-taught (ruining lots of equipment in the process), he then converts his designs into silk screens. Johnson was awarded a prize for printing at his graduate show.
The Bold and Brave creator believes that there is a lack of dialogue between sportswear and design like this. Showcasing at Stitch menswear trade show, Johnson is looking forward to working on his next range and hope to branch out into womenswear.
