OLD: Meshell Ndegeocello - Fool of Me

Let’s rewind to 1999 with Meshell Ndegeocello’s third solo album ‘Bitter’;  and its most famous track ‘Fool of Me’; one of the most beautiful songs ever. When I listen to this song, it instantly feels like music sung from the deepest and honest space; indeed, Ndegeocello never shies away from vulnerability; and for me, this is what I find so magnetic about her body of work. I also love the nostalgia that is invoked by this song; as many of you will know, it featured on the soundtrack for the iconic film ‘Love ad Basketball’ (Who remembers that tear-jerking end scene?).
