POETRY: Saul Williams' 'Coded Language'

627 Saul Williams received my fanship the day I first saw the 1998 film Slam; and I've followed the career of the New York native ever since. The singer, musician, poet, actor and writer (and they say men can't multitask) continues to operate outside the 'box' of norm; redefining what it is to be an artist; a black male artist at that.

It's a mastery of words that draws me most to the Black Stacey singer; and below is one of my favourites of his poetry, Coded Language:
