SCREENING & CONVERSATION - "Pariah"

Hi everybody, We want to say a big thank you to all who came out last night. The screenings just seem to get bigger and bigger. We chose to screen the film ‘Pariah’ as we felt that the themes explored were so universal: the conflict of being oneself versus the expectations of family, and, in general, society; the theme of wanting to break out of one’s mental or physical box. These are all themes that we can relate to; feelings that a lot of us have experienced; and for that reason, we knew that many would empathise with the character Alike’s story.

This was evident when looking around Kaff last night; everyone looked so engaged; especially in the last moments of the film when Alike talks about freedom.
