HEADS UP: Mahamat-Saleh Haroun's 'Grisgris'

download (1) Grisgris is a new Chadian film that has been receiving mixed reviews since its premier at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is the only African film in the running for this year’s Palme d’Or which is presented at the festival. Directed by Mahamat-saleh Haroun, the film stars Soulémane Démé, Mariam Monory, Cyril Guei, Anaïs Monory and Marius Yelolo, and is directed by mahamat-saleh-haroun.

Grisgris centres on a 25 year old man (Soulémane Démé ) who dreams of being a dancer despite the fact that he is paralysed from the waist down. However, his dreams are destroyed when his uncle falls seriously ill.
